Our flexible scheduling makes finding the time to provide the best medical care for your pets so easy.
We offer appointments seven days a week and have extended evening hours through the week. In addition, we have after-hour emergency and euthanasia services available 24/7.
By coming to your home and getting away from the busy hospital setting, our medical care team at Columbus VetCare is able to focus 100% of their attention on you and your pet. No phone calls, no other client’s waiting impatiently in the next room, no interruptions from other team members.
With CVC, it’s all about you!
Many people associate veterinary care with high (and rising) prices. In most cases, in-home care can be even more!
With CVC, that's not the case. Our products and services are priced below comparable in-home services, and are even lower than most stationary hospitals and clinics.
Pet owners benefit from our services particularly in terms of time savings. No more hassle of having to round up your pets, transport them to the clinic, wait to see the vet, spend time in the exam room, wait to settle up the bill and then transport your pet back home.
Instead, the doctor comes right to you, offering much more freedom and flexibility. You’ll also have the added advantage of more time spent with the vet and more personalized, one-on-one attention given to both you and your animal companion.
When a pet is less anxious and more calm, the veterinarian is better able to evaluate their health and monitor any medical conditions that they may be suffering from.
In a traditional veterinary care setting, stress and anxiety caused by the presence of other animals, the process of being transported, or just being outside of their own comfort zone can exacerbate many health problems and make symptoms worse – anxiety can even hide symptoms.
By eliminating this stress, the veterinarian is able to conduct a much more accurate exam for optimum results.
Animals benefit from our services by reducing or eliminating much of the fear and anxiety that is often associated with being transported to, and seen in, a traditional veterinary office setting.
For cats especially, the sounds and sights of other animals – especially dogs – can be extremely traumatic. Likewise, many dogs get nervous and uneasy with the many scents and sounds of other pets that they don’t know.
In-home care eliminates these external stress factors, making for a much calmer, more relaxed experience.
When designated as a Cat Friendly Practice, veterinary clinics have proven they have taken specific extra steps to assure they understand a cat's unique needs, have implemented feline-friendly standards, and have made changes to decrease stress and provide a more calming environment.
The veterinary team of Columbus VetCare has also been trained in feline-friendly handling and have studied feline behavior so that we can continue to deliver high quality, stress-free care to all our feline patients!
All members of our medical care team are Fear Free Certified. What does that mean to your pet?
Fear leads to trauma for pets, and as a result, pet owners visit their veterinarian less often or not at all, instead opting to seek advice and products from other sources.
Fortunately, Fear Free Certification can resolve this downward trend, restore trust in veterinarians as the true pet health experts, and most importantly, reduce feelings of stress, resulting in a better experience for all involved, including pets!
